DRAMA AS A HEALING ART COMMUNITY EVENTS begin with Karen creating a supportive environment of trust and joyfulness for optimal participation and sharing. With over 100 Action-Adventures, and an ability to create new ones on-the-spot due to decades of workshop facilitation and an intuitive sense of what each group needs, Karen gently yet thoroughly opens participants to deeper levels of understanding about themselves, how dramas—especially recurring ones—serve as incentives for transformation, liberation, and authentically empowered living. This isn’t just asking questions, it is expecting and receiving answers. Everyone leaves with experiential and tangible support tools for their ongoing benefit. Each person also has an opportunity to express and anchor their results in the artistic expression of their choice individually or in groups. No expertise necessary, just the freedom of creating something of their own such as, visual art, creating a song, free-form or structured dance, writing a scene, poetry, story, essay, etc., and then sharing as much or little as desired.

DRAMA AS A HEALING ART COMMUNITY EVENTS are tailored to accommodate your specific population, venue, and upon request unique theme or focus. Events can range from 2 hours to 12 months, and can include culminating broad community engagement festivities.

“Hello Karen, I just wanted to take a minute to tell how moved I was by your performance and workshop for the “Drama as Healing Art: Resiliency Theatre” program. The reading of the lines by the performers really illustrated the ideas of the dramatic storytelling approaches which then completely opened up the doors for the audience participation segment. As one of your Drama as Healing Art workshop subscribers the previous year, I was especially excited to learn the seven senses of dramatic storytelling. After our short but intense mini-writing session of our own stories, it was simply beautiful to see how every story shared was so creative and rich. I must share this idea of the seven senses with our staff for more inspirational and creative communications in government! Thank you dearly! All the best, Sherri”

“An “Every Woman” of artistic talent, Karen Jones Meadows puts her heart and soul into her work and is superb at whatever she is determined or called to do.  She is a master at helping adults and young people improve their communication, self-expression, movement, relationship building, and spiritual awareness.  She is wonderful to work with mainly because she is a patient and caring human being.  I highly recommend Karen’s workshops, lectures, and training sessions for individuals, businesses, schools, universities, and organizations.”
